本企画は、「現代アートの脱中心化」を主題とする長期的なプロジェクト（G.O.EN PROJECT）の第一環として位置づけられる。概念芸術＝コンテクストと純粋芸術＝物質が共存するアートワールドの現状を再現し、このような対比的な空間の中で議論を展開することを目的とした。ここでは、それぞれの問題意識や創作へのこだわりを共有し合うことで、各自のコンテクストにおける「脱中心化」的な側面を引き出すことを第一の目標としている。参加者――出品者、寄稿者、来場者――の間での交流を重視するため、明確なキュレーション的テーマはあえて設けていない。

　　　　展示には、愛知県立芸術大学をはじめ、名古屋芸術大学、千葉大学といった日本の学生が出品している。その中には、油絵制作に専念する作家もいれば、社会的介入を志向するアートプロジェクトも含まれる。また同時に、オックスフォード大学、ロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アート、ロンドン大学ゴールドスミス校、東京外国語大学など、国内外の大学に所属する学生が批評文を寄稿している。主題は現代美術にとどまらず、資本主義批判や文化批評など多岐にわたり、トークイベントを通じて問題意識と情報の共有を促進した。

　　　　This exhibition is positioned as the first phase of G.O.EN PROJECT, a long-term project takes the decentralization of contemporary art as its central theme. It aims to recreate the current state of the art world, in which Conceptual Art—identified with context—and Pure Art—identified with material—coexist, and to develop discussions within such a contrasting space. The primary goal of this project is to bring out the “decentralized” aspects inherent in each participant’s own context by sharing individual concerns and artistic commitments. In order to emphasize openness and dialogue among participants—artists, writers, and visitors—the project deliberately avoids imposing a fixed curatorial theme. 

　　　　The exhibition features works by students from Japanese art universities such as Aichi University of the Arts, Nagoya University of the Arts, and Chiba University. Among them are artists devoted to oil painting as well as those engaged in socially oriented art projects. At the same time, students affiliated with institutions such as the University of Oxford, the Royal College of Art, Goldsmiths, University of London, and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies have contributed critical essays. The subjects addressed extend beyond contemporary art to include critiques of capitalism and cultural studies. Through talk events, the project further fostered the exchange of ideas and the sharing of perspectives.
